Qualifying for membership
To be eligible to join Johnstone Credit union you must live within the common bond of Renfrewshire. Please confirm you are eligible by selecting your area from the drop down box
Joining online
If you meet these conditions and wish to join online today, you can click on the link below where you will be invited to complete our online joining form. Please screenshot photo ID - Passport. Driving Licence or Bus Pass etc. and provide proof of address (must be dated within the past 3 months) Bank Statement, Bill etc. These documents should be emailed to [email protected]
Remember: When joining online you will be required to enter your National Insurance Number.
Making your first deposit
When your form has been submitted you must then make an initial deposit to activate your credit union account. This can be done by either debit card by contacting the office on 01505 327148 within 48 hours or via your online banking to Sorting Code 60-83-01, Account Number 20264868 and using your national insurance number as a reference.
What happens next?
Once your membership application, membership fee of £2.00 and initial deposit of £5.00 has been submitted we will send you a welcome pack within 3 working days. Included in this membership pack will be your unique membership number which you will need to register for online access and in any contact with the Credit Union. Please take a note and keep it somewhere safe.
Remember: When joining online you will be required to enter your National Insurance Number. It will help if you have your passport number and/or driving licence number to hand to assist with identity checking.
What if I don’t wish to join online?
Alternatively, if you wish to call in to the office to join, please remember to bring two forms of identification with you when you call in.
Refund Policy: Any new member who joins online and is not eligible to be a member of Johnstone Credit Union will have their full deposit refunded to their debit/credit card and be notified of their account closure.
